Lead Engineer

Position Overview:

The Lead Engineer is involved in actively driving and managing the technology qualification and evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate. The Lead Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to the sales team, purchasing manager, and end users. They will have an equal balance of business acumen and technical ability and will be required to take an active role in developing custom demonstrations and performing in proof of concepts. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle. The Lead Engineer works closely with the Sales and Strategic Sourcing groups.  Travel may be required periodically.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and collaborate with a team of AV Engineers
  • Create full BOM based on Sales Teams opportunity request
  • Provide consistent, high quality, technical support and assistance to the sales team through all aspects of the sales cycle
  • Assure facilitating the qualification of prospects and business strategies by giving support and input to the sales team
  • Ensure that all facets of the use of our technology are understood and documented
  • Create and deliver demonstrations, presentations, prototypes, POC/POV and map features/benefits of client’s products to prospects’ specific needs
  • Provide on-going technical support to well-qualified prospects conducting evaluations (this may include training, programming of examples, third-party software integration, trouble-shooting, best-practices consulting)
  • Work with sales representative to establish specific account plans and strategies
  • Respond to the technical sections of RFI/RFPs
  • Provide product feedback from customers
  • Exchange best practices and share knowledge within SE Community
  • Participate on meetings and conferences with customers and partners, sales and other necessary departments (e.g. R & D)
  • Champion with procurement team on developing a premiere equipment provider
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Educational Level: Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent work, or related military experience
  • Master’s in Business or Engineering a plus
  • Strong, effective communicator
  • Highly developed, demonstrated  teamwork skills

  • Proven experience in customer and market research
  • Relevant product and industry knowledge

Distribution Specialist

Location: Wixom, MI

Position Overview:

Plan, prepare and coordinate the distribution of products to the customer in an efficient and effective manner.  This position ensures the correct products are picked, wrapped and shipped to the correct location on time.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive and accurately place product according to the inventory shelving system
  • Prepare paperwork for shipments for small package, LTL, truckload shipments for domestic or international shipping
  • Coordinate the transportation of the finished products to the customers
  • Coordinate customer orders, delivery time-lines, freight costs, third-party shipments and all associated delivery documents
  • Schedule pickup times and ensure that the warehouse has the order picked and packed before the carrier arrives to collect it
  • Prepare delivery documents for the driver transporting the order
  • Track shipments to ensure a timely arrival at its destination
  • Order processing; pull inventory from shelves and load pallets
  • Use the Internet and electronic inventory data collection devices on a daily basis
  • Interact with internal customers and suppliers
Skills/Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in a logistics/warehouse or product fulfillment setting
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced, team centric environment
  • Attention to detail and organization required
  • Organization and ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Experience with customs documentation preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Sage experience a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Fork truck experience preferred
